Who We Are

We are here not for income, but for outcome

Streetlights is a local Ugandan organization committed to meeting the needs of street-connected children. Streetlights work in many creative and innovative ways of bringing art and empowerment to “street connected children”. Through Affirmative Art, Streetlights helps young people shift their focus to follow their dreams and find those who support their dreams. They also help street connected children learn to create art products for selling instead of begging

Areas of Focus

Unearthing Potential of Street Connected Children

Street child – Through talent, self discovery and psycho-social support, we work towards seeing that children living on the streets find better alternatives to live happily through maximizing their potential.

Family- Skilling and sensitisation through art to ensure better livelihoods of financially handicapped homesteads so that no child ends up on the streets due to poverty. With specific interest in women and children

Community – Sensitisation to bring back the norm of a child being a community’s responsibility. Through art, we sensitise the community on dangers of street habitation and drugs abuse.
