Why This Program Matters
Many children living in underserved communities face barriers that limit their opportunities to learn, grow, and thrive. Without access to supportive environments and positive opportunities, many young people become vulnerable to school dropout, exploitation, and homelessness.
Streetlights Uganda creates safe spaces where children can explore their creativity, develop practical skills, build meaningful relationships, and strengthen their connection to education and community.

Soweto Community Art Center
A Place to Learn, Create, and Belong
Located in Soweto-Namuwongo, our Community Art Center provides a safe and welcoming environment where children and youth can participate in creative learning experiences, receive mentorship, access educational resources, and connect with positive role models.
The center serves both school-going and out-of-school children, providing opportunities for personal growth, creative expression, and community engagement.
The center is more than a building—it is a place where young people feel seen, valued, and inspired.
Creative Change Makers (C2M)
Empowering Young Leaders
Creative Change Makers (C2M) is our school engagement initiative that helps students build confidence, creativity, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
The program helps young people develop leadership skills, creative confidence, teamwork and collaboration, critical thinking, and social responsibility.
We believe that every child has the potential to become a changemaker.
