Graduation Overview
On 18th July 2022, the first cohort of women under the Ntunga Vocational Program (Hoima Edition) graduated, marking a significant milestone in their journey toward economic self-reliance.
The Ntunga Program is designed to empower young women from marginalized backgrounds and street-connected communities through fashion, tailoring, and creative enterprise. Over months of intensive training, students master everything from basic needlework to advanced garment design and pattern-making.
In partnership with CoCuDi Centre and with the generous support of SBC Limited, this edition in Hoima provided trainees with access to high-quality sewing equipment, workspace facilities, and professional mentorship.
The graduation ceremony brought together local leaders, families, and partners to celebrate the graduates' achievements. Beyond receiving certificates, the graduates were equipped with toolkits to launch their own fashion micro-enterprises, breaking generational cycles of vulnerability.
